MARILYN MANSON TO PLAY ROCK AM RING - January 31 2009

In another announcement from Manson, more festival dates have been unveiled.

Posted on the official Marilyn Manson myspace page, two dates for Germany's Rock Am Ring in conjunction with MTV have been revealed:

5 JUNE 2009 ROCK AM RING Nürburgring, DE
6 JUNE 2009 ROCK IM PARK Nürnberg, DE

It has also been revealed that Limp Bizkit will be headlining and this news has given rise to speculation on guitarist Wes Borland, who replaced Rob Holiday in 2008. But as yet it has not been revealed if he will return to LB.

Organizers of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival announced today that hard music legends MARILYN MANSON and SLAYER will top the bill on this year’s highly anticipated tour, which is set to kick off July 10 at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Sacramento, CA. “I have good news and I have bad news to announce,” declares Manson. “The good news is that I am completely aware now that our music and our Mayhem tour will have a negative, destructive influence on America. This highly anticipated record reunites Manson and Twiggy Ramirez for their first collaboration since Hollywood in 2001.

Rudy Coby, magician and long term friend of Manson, has been revealing details about the upcoming Manson album to friends on my myspace blog. Under the full consent of Marilyn Manson, Rudy reveals the first track from the album and more details:

Rudy has been very instrumental in recent weeks of fueling the hunger and anticipation in fans for the album which as yet has no official release date but which Manson, following his December announcement, promises to fuck up the New Year.

I've been given permission to both post it and tell the story behind it, but I'll allow him to do this when the time is right because he is a far better writer than I.

Know this though: when I became his roommate my bedroom was the blood-covered room on the "Eat Me, Drink Me" album cover. The last day I was his roommate was in a different house, my room covered in real blood - none of it my own - and I was driven to an emergency room for the first time in my life.

Then he wrote this song.

The first written for the new album, but certainly not the last casualty suffered in its creation.
